About Ray M. Rosdale

Ray Rosdale is an artist and writer, born in Frankfurt am Main and educated in the United States and Germany. Based in Brandenburg and Berlin, Germany, she works from her studio in Gollenberg, creating digital figurative paintings that explore psychological intimacy and human relationships.
After completing her studies in social history and cultural studies at Berlin's Free University and Technical University, Rosdale spent years working in cultural documentation, exhibition curation, and digital content development. Her background includes curating exhibitions on post-war German history, managing EU cultural projects, and developing online platforms - experiences that inform her current artistic practice.
Rosdale began her professional visual art practice in 2019, initially working with traditional media including oils, cold wax, gouache, and monoprinting. Her evolution from abstract painting through abstract figurative work to her current digital figurative work reflects a journey toward increasingly direct engagement with human psychology and relationships.
Her work has been exhibited in a group show at the Brandenburg Museum of Modern Art and during Berlin Art Week. She creates limited edition prints on archival paper and dibond metal, establishing digital art as a serious collectible medium. When not painting, she continues to write, developing a hybrid art and literary project exploring family dynamics.
